However I need a place to show off my Raspberry Pi case, so I will make it go here.<\/p><p>OBJECTIVES:<\/p><ul><li>Functional case for the Raspberry Pi as a media player<\/li><li>Attractive enough to pass the wife-approval test<\/li><li>Can end up near the TV without any furniture around it<\/li><\/ul><p>So I got this idea...let's mount the thing in a shadow box.  It can hang on the wall next to the tv, will have some air in the case to dissipate heat, can have all cables routed out one side, and can have a matte to hide internal wires.<\/p><p>Here's the results!<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/surfrock66.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/pi1.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/surfrock66.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/pi1-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"pi1\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1394\" \/><\/a><\/p><p>This is the mount, before any cabling is done.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/surfrock66.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/pi2.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/surfrock66.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/pi2-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"pi2\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1395\" \/><\/a><\/p><p>Here it is up on the wall, with some of the cable management.
