Bush is vetoing a bill which is expanding children's health care. He's vetoing it for 2 reasons. One, he thinks Democrats are trying to gain successes to earn "political points" in Washington. Two, it's not the bill he wanted to see, he says "I'm vetoing it and send it back in this form with these rules or I won't sign it."

This is not the point of the veto. If Bush wants to make laws, go into congress. It's congress's job to make laws and vote on them and pass them, the veto is for the president to exercise some huge control as a check on congress when they've been completely backwards. Remember that, it's a check and balance, not a twist of an arm behind a back to force congress to act in a certain way.

I have known this trick forever, and recently I've noticed I'm pretty much one of three people who know it at all. It was when some other IT guys at work didn't notice it, and not only didn't notice it but were really impressed with it, that i realized I need to spread the word of this gospel.

Need to make something bigger in word, excel, internet explorer, notepad, or almost any other windows program? "ctrl+scroll." I've used this since MS came out with the scrolling wheel mouse, and it's so useful I can't beleive everyone doesn't know it. I use it as much as "ctrl+c", "ctrl+v", or "ctrl+s". Use it people.

Damn it. I was completely right. Here, on my own, I came up with this theory about gravity generation YEARS ago and was told I was nuts, and then these scientists went and proved it. read here I hope you're all happy, people who told me I was wrong.
